Wendy Belisle

Welcome! 🙂 Having been involved in health and fitness for over 20 years, fitness has literally become a complimentary part of my very existence. I am proud to have helped countless clients and program recipients realize their fitness goals and aspirations through my concise and structured approach to training and coaching. Having been training as long as I have, I can definitely attest to the famous proverb “when you love what you do for a living, it’s not work!” I look forward to working with you!

I started with wendy when I was 14 years old and not only did she educate me on how to grow but also how to get stronger. She trained me and showed me how to be a better athlete and got me ready for training camps in the fall when I was playing high level hockey and when my hockey career came to an end I continued exercising revolving my workouts on movements she taught me. I have made a significant and noticeable amount of progress over the years and it all started in the gym with someone educating me and teaching me the building blocks of training. One's fitness journey takes time, there is no magic pill or supplement that will get you to your desired goals. There are several elements to shaping your body and it all starts with understanding the building blocks in the gym. Having a program or mentor in place is key to your future success and just allowing yourself to see real results faster in the long run. It is important to learn and understand where to begin, allowing yourself to have the basics to expand on certain training methods and lifting techniques to further better yourself. Learning the fundamentals is key in anyone's success whether you are an athlete, or someone just trying to live a healthier lifestyle. It is important to understand these building blocks from someone educated in the fitness industry. This allows you to learn different training methods and techniques and not only better your understanding surrounding them but it also allows you to take the tools you have learned and expand and manipulate them into programs for yourself.

I have been working out with Wendy for the last 5 years. I had worked with her initially after an MVA in 2015 (I was rear ended and as a result of the accident I ended up with a rotator cuff tear). Our goals were to rehab my shoulder but also for general conditioning. After working with physiotherapy and massage therapy for a long time, I decided to change gears as I was not getting the results I was looking for. Within a few months of working with Wendy, my shoulder range of motion and strength were back to normal. She has a background in physiotherapy and knows exactly what exercises to recommend. She knows how to push you in a safe manner. She incorporates two or three exercises in one to use our sessions as efficiently as possible. She is motivating and very knowledgeable. What I love about her approach is that she looks at the person as a whole, their nutrition, their sleep patterns as well as their level of activity. I really enjoy my sessions with her and I am very grateful for her support and encouragement over the years. I strongly recommend her as a personal trainer.

I have been training with Wendy since October 2016 and all I can say is Wendy is a professional. Wendy takes the time to assess your fitness level and any injuries you may have, or past injuries and is able to tailor your program uniquely to your needs and goals. When I started training with Wendy my main goal was to strengthen my legs as I was scheduled for hip replacement surgery in early January of 2017. Wendy was able to guide me through my program not only so that I could get stronger, but also was able to ensure that I did not injure myself further. Wendy has extensive experience in rehabilitation as well. Post surgery Wendy and I worked together to get my leg working again. Exercises and stretching at first and we gradually worked my leg back into shape. In fact my leg was in such good shape I was able to surgery on my knee that September. (I have had many sports injuries!) Again post surgery Wendy and I worked on my knee and now it's in top shape. Wendy and are still training together to this very day. As I said, Wendy is a true pro. If you are considering personal training or require some rehab, Wendy will be the perfect fit for you!

I would definitely recommend Wendy’s virtual training sessions. I get an excellent workout as if I went to the gym with a trainer. I find the virtual training easier since there is no driving time and when I’m finished I can get started right away on dinner. Wendy takes the time to recommend equipment for me to purchase even though at the beginning she trained me with very little, but I find it invigorating to have my own little home gym now
